Through activities such as “The Mystery Puzzle,” “Little Editors,” and “Arranging the Discussion File,” students were placed in familiar learning situations, enabling them to actively explore knowledge and practise outlining a group discussion report. In particular, applying the criteria “Sufficient – Clear – Reasonable” in commenting and assessment helped students develop the habit of self-assessment, receiving feedback, and revising their own work. Through this, students’ language, communication, cooperation, and creative thinking competencies were naturally promoted, initially demonstrating innovation in assessment and evaluation in teaching and learning.

Starting with a video about the journey of a drop of water, students learned about the causes of water pollution, identified the impacts of polluted water on people and the environment, and proposed measures to protect water sources. Group discussions, keyword selection, and the use of simple English sentence patterns encouraged students to confidently share their thoughts, expand their vocabulary, and strengthen their communication skills. In particular, the activity of designing posters to promote water protection stimulated creativity, encouraged students to apply their knowledge to real-life situations, and spread the message of green living through small daily actions.

Students were given opportunities to actively explore, discover, cooperate, present their ideas, and assess their learning outcomes; teachers played the role of guiding, accompanying, and encouraging each student’s potential.
