LIFELONG LEARNING WEEK 2026 – EXPLORING, CREATING AND BUILDING THE FUTURE TOGETHER

As part of Lifelong Learning Week 2026, Sai Dong Urban Primary School will organize STEM – Digital Citizenship Day and Book Reading Day on October 8. Through hands-on activities, students will develop creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, digital citizenship, STEM thinking, and reading skills while exploring how ideas can become meaningful, smart solutions.

Lifelong learning is not only a journey of acquiring knowledge, but also a journey of exploration, experience, questioning, creation, and turning small ideas into meaningful solutions in life. In response to Lifelong Learning Week 2026, Sai Dong Urban Primary School is organizing a series of learning and experiential activities under the theme “From Small Ideas to Smart Solutions”, providing students with opportunities to apply their knowledge, develop creative thinking, and actively explore the world around them.

A highlight of this learning journey is the 2026 STEM – Digital Citizenship Day and Book Reading Day, taking place on Thursday, October 8, 2026, for students from Grades 1 to 5. Here, students will learn through experience, practice, and interaction, thereby developing STEM thinking, design thinking, computational thinking, as well as creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and self-learning skills.

Launching Lifelong Learning Week 2026 at Sai Dong Urban Primary School with the theme “From Small Ideas to Smart Solutions.”

From initial ideas to real-life challenges, students will explore diverse experiential areas such as Innovation, STEM Challenge, STEM Around the World, and Little Digital Citizens. The activities are designed for students to directly develop ideas, create models, take on STEM challenges, explore notable inventions around the world, and handle situations related to safety and responsible behavior in the digital environment.

The learning journey also continues to expand through books and library spaces. Students will become familiar with e-books, QR codes, audio stories, podcasts, and digital learning resources; search for information, explore the digital library, select appropriate learning resources, and gradually develop the habit of combining reading with technology safely and effectively.

Each experience is an opportunity for students to learn by doing, learn from real-life contexts, and learn how to turn what they know into what they can create. From a question, a small idea, or a page of a book, students can begin their journey of exploration, creation, and building their own smart solutions.
