Teacher Nguyen Linh Chi conducted the thematic session “Vietnamese Language 5 – Innovation in Testing and Assessment”, focusing on assessment as an integral part of learning. Teachers discussed practical approaches to developing students’ qualities and competencies through reading, writing, speaking, and listening, while sharing experiences to improve teaching and assessment practices.

Innovation in testing and assessment is one of the important aspects of improving teaching and learning quality, while also helping teachers gain a clearer understanding of each student’s learning process and progress. With this spirit, Teacher Nguyen Linh Chi conducted the thematic session “Vietnamese Language 5 – Innovation in Testing and Assessment”, providing practical discussion content closely related to the requirements of teaching Vietnamese Language in Grade 5.

During the thematic session, Teacher Nguyen Linh Chi focused on clarifying the role of testing and assessment in the teaching and learning process, while sharing ways to organize assessment toward developing students’ qualities and competencies. Instead of focusing only on the final results, assessment activities were viewed as an integral part of the learning process, thereby helping teachers promptly identify students’ level of understanding, their strengths, as well as the areas they need to continue improving.

In particular, the thematic session delved into innovation in testing and assessment for Grade 5 Vietnamese Language, associated with the requirements of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The orientations and examples shared provided teachers with additional perspectives on developing questions, learning tasks, and appropriate forms of assessment, creating opportunities for students to apply their knowledge, express their thoughts, and develop their ability to use Vietnamese.
