Continuing the series of exciting competitions within the 2026–2027 Student Sports Games, the Chess competition provided an engaging intellectual challenge, giving young chess players at Sai Dong Urban Primary School the opportunity to demonstrate their thinking skills, confidence, and passion for this mind sport.

At each chessboard, the atmosphere was focused and full of suspense. Facing 64 squares and familiar chess pieces, students had to apply their observation skills, logical thinking, and judgment to develop strategies, calculate each move, and seek opportunities to gain an advantage. At times, players had to think carefully before making a decision; unexpected situations also called for calmness and flexibility to adjust their strategies in time.

Each chess game was not only an intellectual contest but also a test of perseverance, discipline, and emotional control. Through every match, students learned to respect their opponents, follow the rules, accept the results, and continuously strive to improve themselves. These experiences helped nurture their confidence, determination, and spirit of fair play and good sportsmanship.

Through the Chess competition, the Student Sports Games not only created opportunities for students to interact, learn from one another, and develop their talents but also contributed to their holistic development in both physical and intellectual aspects. Sports not only help students improve their physical health but also strengthen their thinking skills, confidence, and essential qualities for learning and everyday life.
